About us

It was Easter of 1979, when as a university student, I came to Astypalea on vacation. From that day on, every August 15th (Virgin Mary’s festival) a group of fellow students and I would meet up on the island and catch up on old times. During those summers I began my post graduate work on the architectural aspects of the island and therefore Astypalea became my home. The place where my children were born, the place I live and work on, studying, designing and building houses, hotels etc. “Arhitektoniki” is therefore my family, my wife, my children, my grandparents, my sister. They are the ones that work and make all of this possible, and it is through them that visitors will experience what love, warmth, family and friendship is all about.
